How are we out of time?
Press Hates These Cars!
Jalopnik reports: Former Toyota USA President Jim Press Never Owned A Toyota Or Lexus. What the h-e-double hockey sticks?
Press has always loved cars. He built his first go-cart at age seven, got his first car when he was 12. At age 13, he started washing cars at his family's dealership in Kansas. But he said he never bought a Toyota or Lexus. The only vehicle he owns is a Yamaha motorcycle. But he'll soon be driving Chrysler vehicles. The article also doesn't say that Mr. Press will be owning or buying a Chrysler, either. It's actually cool to see he's only bought a motorcycle. Go, JP!
Ray Wert For President!
Jalopnik reports: How Many Drinks Was That? GM-UAW Strike Edition. Check out the video on the link. Mr. Wert's asked a question and he flips it right back in the pretty lady's face! Hawesome. It went like this:
Pretty Lady: Is Rick Wagoner [GM CEO] taking the UAW seriously?
Ray Wert: Oh, man, this chick is smokin! Did she just ask me a question?
PL: (waiting)
RW: I think the question is "Is GM taking the UAW seriously?" (Thinking: Boo-yah! Her clothes are gonna fly the hell off!)
Whew, Gas Crisis Averted
Autoblog reports: GM hybrid SUVs get 21 mpg city/22 mpg highway. Twenty-two! Woohoo! Actually, it's a decent percentage over what the things are currently getting, so it's not so bad. Especially since most of these are used to transport donuts rather than tow things. Go, GM! More! More! More! And more Alison! Be nice to increase her fuel economy with a little boost of, uh... Mmmmm....
Most. Awesome. Recall. Ever.
Kicking Tires reports: Toyota Recalls 55,000 Floormats, Yes, Floormats.
Saturn XR POS?
Edmunds reports: 2007 Saturn Aura XR: Oh not again... Anyone know if this is a common issue?
