AutoWeek reports: 2008 Scion xB. Whoa, the ol' square dealie just got a helpin' of refinement.
As far as the physical thing goes, this sure seems to be a better one than the previous version, but we have to wonder if this is what everyone wanted. In essence, did Toyota just engineer out the coolness of the xB?
We'll tell you one thing they added: $1,600 to the sticker. Can we uncheck that option?
Actually, it looks like they engineered IN the coolness. The old xB was ugly and underpowered, and even though the new one still suffers from being too boxy it's definitely more stylish. I still wouldn't buy one, though, since it's the xB after all.

Dang! I liked the old xB and almost talked myself into getting one (then common sense kicked in and I bought my current ride for cash). The new one is alright, but it's bigger, more expensive, and gets worse gas mileage.
They took the ultimate city commuter car and turned it into an Element. Yeesh!
