At least we think so. Autoblog reports: Paris Motor Show: Toyota Auris space concept. Now, if Toyota has figured out how to fit 6-footers in tandem and still have a bit of room in the hatch area for beers and burgers... Or flowers and doilies, you know, whatever then maybe Toyota'd be on to something (the Mazda3 isn't terribly generous to backseat passengers). As it looks, however, it's a Mazda3 but in Toyota concept-form.
But if you like the looks of the Auris (we do), just go out and buy a Mazda3 'cause it's here now—ain't no concept.
OK, this is a bit odd, but we'll mention it anyway.... When we logged in to Mazda's press area (yeah, we don't know how we got access to that either) and grabbed that Mazda3, it had the word beauty in the file name. We just found that weird. And we needed to share that with someone. And our cup of coffee says it doesn't care. So there you go.
The five door hatchback will feature designs similar to Yaris with large hood, huge headlamps and grille an obvious logo. Since this is only available for the European market, North American buyers can opt for the Yaris instead.

Or just buy a friggin' Prius, which is a 4-door hatch and already exists.

The new Car and Driver tests the MazdaSpeed 3 and comes away very impressed.
5.8 Seconds to 60, top speed 155, $27K loaded with Nav.
