The Car Connection reports: Chrysler Cutting HEMI Production. While it's hard to argue with the hillbilly when he says, "That thing got a HEMI?" we'll try:
1. The HEMI uses a lot of fuel when we all know fossil fuels are finite so it's best to conserve now.
2. The U.S.'s import of fossil fuels puts our country's safety at rest as we deal with nations who have the fuel.
3. That's your sister and we now frown upon that sort of behavior. And please let your grandmother have her teeth back.
Everyone knows that fossil fuels will evetually run out. But that doesn't mean we have to sacrifice the horsepower for some electric shit to conserve. In about 10 years or so fossil fuel burning cars will have changed to soy burning fuel cars. And the diesel trucks will stop using diesel and start using hydrogen. Conversions are already happenning out there. Plus you have to think about the new oil we found of the Gulf of New Mexico.

So you go from loving the Charger SRT-8 to HEMI's are bad? ;-)
Sure they're bad. There's probably refinements they can do to the MDS to get some better mileage out of them... heck, I cracked 28 mpg highway going to work once in my Magnum R/T. But then I found the gas pedal and it was all over.
