Ford On The Edge

The Detroit Free Press reports: Detroiters get first shot at driving Ford Edge. Why doomed? Because while this thing looks great on the outside, we were totally disappointed with the interior. And we think after an initial sales surge that sales will fall flat.

Now, if Ford cleans up the interior we'd be willing to re-evaluate our take on the Edge.

During a dinner with the Detroit Free Press Tuesday night, Mark Fields, Ford’s president of the Americas, said the 2007 Ford Edge was “absolutely” the most important new vehicle the company will launch this year.

Absolutely, eh? Most important, eh? Let's pray owners of the Edge don't go in the thing.
