The Detroit News reports: China to take 2007 auto show by storm. Here they come! Well, soon. China's buildin' cars and wants to sell them to Mom and Pop America. But will we buy? Does it matter where the cars come from?
It's not like China is leading the way as far as human rights goes. Does that count for anything? Does that even matter when you gotta get somewhere? Does that matter when gas is $3?! Hello, we wants cheap cars!
We're unsure how the U. S. will react (saleswise) to cars from China. We're not sure whether human rights matter much to people in the U. S. Oh, we're not claiming people are so cold-hearted that they wouldn't shed a tear for the poor souls in China, but they're not paying attention. And the MSM isn't writing about it. The MSM is writing about what happens to fucking Jack and Sawyer, though. Also, we didn't seem to mind buying from a company that had a big ol' hand in Pearl Harbor.
And with Google and Yahoo! (and many others... we just like to pick on Google and Yahoo!) doing business over there, we have to wonder whether human rights are an issue at all.
Holy crap! That was way, way hippier than we intended. We need to go eat another hamburger, toss back a cold one, and go beat up some homeless people with Lou Ferrigno! And his daughter. Rowr!
