AutoWeek reports: Bold Styling Demanded. We have no doubt Ford is working hard to try to figure out how to fix all the things they've fouled up over the years and we wish them luck. But based on what we've seen, we're pretty pessimistic about its future. We know Ford is banking on the Fusion and now the Edge, but it takes more than two cars to turn things around. The Five Hundreds should have had bolder styling like the Fusion. And the Edge should have the interior that sister vehicle CX-7 has (we really didn't like the Edge's interior). And Ford still has no really small car—hell, the good Focus is still not here so our Ford buddy had to buy a Mazda. Upper management needs to really, really look at the line-up and figure out which Ford they'd buy themselves. And Lincoln doesn't count. Or Volvo. Or Land Rover. We don't need to say "Or Jaguar" 'cause who's buying them anyway?
Personally, I think this is a smart move on Ford's part. I'll post my reasons shortly.
