Autoblog reports: Wards names industry's top interiors, features. How in the world did the Pontiac Solstice (pictured) win for best interior? What were people thinking? And before you go off thinkin' "Those studs at Cars! Cars! Cars! with their cut bodies and come-hither smiles hate American interiors. Man, those guys are just sooo good-lookin'" that's not true! We think the Saturn Sky's interior whips the pants off of the Solstice's interior. It's sporty, classy... it's freshing! We agree with the "news media" vote (whatever that is) where it picked the Audi A3 as the best interior for the "popular-price car" segment. The A3 is a bit spendy for our pants pocket, but it's a slick ride nonetheless.
Now don't get us started on the "Best Instrument Cluster" category. The Ford Mustang? Look, it's retro and fun, but if that's the best current thing we have going on, we're friggin' doomed, mate. The instrument cluster from our 1969 Ford Fairlane!
We'll end this by agreeing the "Best Interior Innovation" was spot on: the Stow 'n' Go seats in the Dodge Grand Caravan is pretty slick.
We are aware that the woman in the Autoblog photo seems to have Stow 'n' Go'd her keister. Nice trick, ma'am.
