The Detroit News reports: Toyota wants country cred. Oh, cut it out. First of all, Brooks & Dunn aren't country music. At least not this country. Or what used to be this country. This is Nashville pop and, hey, it is what it is, but it ain't country music. Second, here's a chance for Ford to drop the ball and not sign Dale Watson. Want to talk country music? This dude is as real as it gets and if the automotive world thinks adding a music connection will help sales, there's no reason Ford shouldn't add Dale Watson before GM signs him up. Or Honda. If America is defined as country music (like Toyota is trying to say) then it gets no more American than Dale Watson.
It's true, the iTunes Music Store has Dale Watson marked as Holiday music. Dumbasses.
