It's true! He totally meant to say that. AutoWeek reports: Paying Off? And, crap, we're not going to argue with him. Especially since the cars have rocked our asses off. Although our ass is still bigger than ever. And the cars aren't Saturns, but Opels. But, no matter, they are better than past Saturns. Well, better looking. We'll have to see how they hold up over the long haul. Do we think it's a mistake to just rebadge Opels as Saturns? No. It's a smart move by GM because Opels aren't available here so there is no cannibalizing like GM's Pontiac unit is about to do with the Pontiac G5 (a Chevy Cobalt).
If Saturn was a joke, then why would GM bank on Saturn to fix it's future harder than banking on Chevrolet? I was raised a Chevy man, but until they get their things straight, and quit building all those damn trucks, and whining about money, I'll continue to drive Saturns. By the way, being as the author has not disclosed this, Chevy cannibalized first, as the Chevy Cobalt, AND the Chevy HHR ARE Saturn Ion's. The Pontiac division is getting sloppy thirds and fourths. Do your homework.

lutz on saturn: Big deal, if they wanted to make a dent with the opels , bring them to the states as chevrolets. Saturn is a joke in the grand scheme of things. thanks
