The Detroit News reports: Saturn: It craves to be cool again. Cool? Saturn wants to be cool? We're not sure Saturn could handle the cool. We think Saturn needs to focus on what it stands for rather than shooting for cool because we just don't know what Saturn stands for anymore. Take, for example, the new Aura. We haven't had a close at this yet, but the Aura's competitors will be the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Saturn's last stab at this market was the super-snoozy L200 and L300. Don't remember that model? Saturn thanks you. We're not saying Saturn (i.e. the Aura) isn't making decent products (or are we?), we're trying to understand what Saturn stands for. Does anyone know? Because it sure seems to be just another GM brand. Lost in the middle.
I agree completely. In fact, it is to my understanding that if you were looking for the opposite of cool, you should buy a Saturn. And that includes the Redline models...they're weak.
