We're not sure why we're picking on GM (other than: it's easy, it's fun, it's necessary) but here's more for you:
According to an article from Bloomberg News, Harley Davidson now has a higher market cap than GM despite having just 3% of GM's sales. Man, Wall Street hates GM, car buying folk hate GM (well, maybe not "hate" but seeing as sales are down, it ain't love) and GM hates GM... layoffs of 30k+ are coming. OK, the layoff thing is a rumor and by no means a guarantee... but we'd bet on it.
GM should take our advice and trim the hell out of its lineup and focus on cars again. Hey, look what we found: GM to focus on SUVs. Heh heh heh. Well, it's sorta like having a funny commander in office... the material is provided for you. Go, General, go!
Funny recap of the auto show. But, hey what's up with Honda and Nissan? Where they even at the show?
