Despite the date posted above, this page was updated 27 May 2007. Here's a list of hybrids on market for 2007:
Honda Civic
Company URL: 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid
Starting price: $22,600
Fuel Economy: 49 city/51 highway
This is an example of Honda engineering on its game. Take the sweet design of the current Civic and up the efficiency of Honda's hybridness for an average of 50 mpg and you have a winner on your hands. If you are considering a hybrid give this a test drive -- we bet you'll drive home with it.
Pluses: Sweet design
Minuses: Not as big a design as other hybrids
We say: If you don't haul a lot of people all the time (two adults and two children are ideal for this car) this is a great, great car.
Reviews of 2006 models (ugh, we know, where are the 07s?):

This review was more of an overview, but does offer some insight
Of course, driving dynamics are different than a gas-only car. Low rolling resistance tires and electric power steering mean less precise feel and slightly more wandering on the highway, an artificial brake feel from the regeneration of heat back into battery power, and overall, a driving experience that feels more programmed than natural.

Good review of the Civic hybrid by Charles Ofria. He's clearly a fan of Honda, but he makes sure to be critical in practical matters
The major advantage is, of course, the gas mileage which, in the Civic Hybrid's case, is rated by the EPA at 49 miles per gallon in the city and 51 mpg on the highway. Impressive numbers to be sure, but is it worth it? A normal Civic with an automatic transmission will give you 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway and run from 0 to 60 in 10.1 seconds, more that 2 seconds quicker than the hybrid's 12.4 second time.

Reviewer Phil Powell pulls the contrarian card compared to the other reviews so far
Steering response is particularly pleasing, very reminiscent of a sports car, with a quick 2.71 turns lock-to-lock and a tight turning circle. The hybrid engine performance is, of course, what stimulates most people's curiosity, so I can assure you that I never had any sense of being short on power. He continues
Still, the Civic Hybrid's efficiency and environmental benefits are undeniable. Add in spaciousness, fun factor, and equipment level, and there's your value, folks. High, as in Hybrid.

Honda Accord
Company URL: 2007 Honda Accord Hybrid
Starting price: $31,090
Fuel Economy: 28 city/35 highway with 5-speed automatic transmission (only transmission available)
Honda took a different approach to hybrids when it took its flagship into the eco-arena back in 2005. Power was the name of the game and Honda banked that people wanted power along with fuel sipping. The problem was that people didn't really want this type of hybrid. It's spendy and doesn't offer particularly great fuel economy. Sales for the 2006 model were just 5,598 (a whopping 66% drop over 2005). The 2007 model is unchanged from 2006. What's the future hold? Honda's not saying yet, but we do know a redesign is coming for 2008 so once we know, we'll let you know.
Pluses: It's a Honda and, for its size, it gets decent gas mileage
Minuses: A hybrid that's about power? Shame on Honda -- they should know better!
We say: Wait until Honda gets the Accord hybrid right. We'd skip it since there are better hybrids in this size (Camry).

Review Aaron Gold gives the Honda Accord Hybrid an average rating saying:
"Even so, at 12,000 highway miles per year the fuel savings over a conventional V6-powered Accord is around 70 gallons per year. At $3/gallon it'd take nearly 30 years and 350,000 miles to break even. With those kinds of numbers, this is one cat-skinning method that just doesn't make any sense."We agree with Mr. Gold when the judges the Accord as sorta senseless.

There weren't any other 2007 reviews that we could find, so we had to go with 2005s. There are no major differences in the 2007 and 2006 and 2005 models, but we figured we'd tell you that so we can sleep better at night.

Reviewer Anita Lienert seemed to focus more on the looks of the thing rather than the fuel economy even though she stated,
"I took the Accord Hybrid on a drive that included stop-and-go city driving in Dearborn and a short trip on Interstate 94.She ended the review with:The fuel-consumption read-out on the instrument panel calculated that I got between 16.1 miles per gallon and 21.8 mpg on that hour-long drive."
"The Accord Hybrid is not going to generate a lot of parking-lot admirers. It's more of a secret hybrid that will give you a quiet sense of satisfaction that you're doing the right thing."We're a little puzzled why she didn't come right out and say that those figures are shite. We'll chalk it up to only having a limited amount of time in the vehicle. Still, Ms. Lienert, 16 mpg for a hybrid? That didn't strike you as a problem?

Reviewer Nick Yost seemed generally positive in his review saying
But beneath the obvious, down where the engineers play, there are fascinating advances and clever detail changes that put Honda’s third hybrid effort in a class by itself. And ended the review with
Finally, a statement for the record: Overall, I averaged only 27 miles per gallon. But, much of it was during the road-clogged Christmas shopping season and the rest of it was in semi-nasty weather. I know of no other vehicle of comparable weight and power that could have done nearly as well. That might have been true in 2005, but the times have moved where the Accord hasn't.
Nissan Altima
Company URL: 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid
Starting price: $24,990
Fuel Economy: 42 city/ 36 highway
Pluses: Feels like an Altima (which mostly means it doesn't feel like a Honda or Toyota... that's a good thing)
Minuses: Not a lot, really. It's a tad spendy.
We say: Great, great alternative to the Camry Hybrid. And leaps and bounds over the Accord Hybrid.

Saturn Aura
Company URL: 2007 Saturn Aura
Starting price: $22,695
Fuel Economy: 28 city/35 highway
Pluses: Affo... hell, it's cheap. And the Aura is a good-looking car.
Minuses: Fuel economy isn't anything to get chubbed up about.
We say: Not a bad first entry. But Saturn can do better.

Toyota Camry
Company URL: 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Starting price: $26,200
Fuel Economy: 40 city / 38 highway
Pluses: Camry is the best looking car in mid-size market. That's right, we said it: best looking!
Minuses: Fuel economy should be better since the friggin' Civic (which is smaller, we know) gets 40mpg without being a hybrid.
We say: Go for it!
