Way To Start A Monday! Leftlane News reports: Last Pontiac GTO built. Yay! Woohoo! More! More! More! By that we mean, less, less, less of the crap, crap, crap. Now all we need is for the Monte Carlo to die and we'll be on to something.
Maybe the whole world will become one big fucking ad. Crap, life is already a cereal and a board game, so why wouldn't everything just become an ad? The Detroit Free Press reports: Comic books draw in ads. Sigh. The whole comic book is an ad. For Pontiac. How lame. What's weird is that the comic book is about the Solstice which is the hardest Pontiac to buy... you'd think Pontiac would try a comic book on the G6 convertible. It could be about a super hero who was never able to save anyone because he was trying to figure out where the hell that leak under the dash was coming from.
Thanks to Jalopnik for the link. BTW, that 's a Pontiac G6... which sorta doesn't look so bad. Right?
AutoWeek reports: Planned Scarcity. GM isn't going to increase production of Solsticeseseses -- even though the manufacturing plant has more capacity. GM wants to keep 'em rare(ish) that they remain popular. Hard to find fault with this, really.
What we can find fault with that GM has, what, one major hit on its hands and it's a roadster. Crap. How about making an all-around ass-kickin' sedan that turns out to be more in demand than there is inventory?
For the record, we wrote about this article mainly so we could look at a picture of the Solstice. It's purty.
We edited this article for clarity. We gave the impression the Solstice was ending production. That's not the case at all.
