Mitsubishi's Desperate Move?

Or are they being clever? AutoWeek reports: Zero Emissions. Well, before you get all "Hey! They didn't kill the electric car!" just settle down and get back in your shorts. AutoWeek reports: Hoping for a Hit. 'taint lookin' so good for ol' Mitsubishi. Sales down over 60% since 2002, nothing particularly amazing for sale now and future products looking pretty "same ol', same ol'" we're pretty confident when we say goodbye to Mitsubishi.

That's the Eclipse Spyder. It's sweet. But it's not enough to save the whole company. Yeah, it's ass does look fatter than hell in this pic. What's up with that?
