"Opel?," you say. "Yes," we say. "Who's Opel?," you say. "Hell if we know, but she's taken over Saturn," we say. "Dayum," you say. And then the Aura goes on sale. Yeah, it's an Opel. And, hey, here's another Done Deal as reported by AutoWeek. Being pretty untop of the car world*, we're totally unfamiliar with the Astra, but if the Saturn looks like the Astra... well, heck, that's pretty nifty. Saturn has fallen so far in the toilet that we're 100% behind doing something as radical as importing cars for your import-fighting division. Uh... We're totally up on the burrito world, however.

Saturn vs Opel is nothing new. Saturn has been borrowing from the Opel parts bin for years. That's nothing to be ashamed of. Opel is and has been well respected in Europe for years and for those old enough to have owned an American Opel (back in the 70's)like me, are kind of glad that GM is bringing new product to us via the Saturn label. All I can say is if the Sky & the Opel GT are one in the same, then I say good show & enjoy the ride.

I'm not defending Saturn or anything, but what do people have against the last crop of cars? The new Nissan Sentra practically is a copy of the old Ion which I still mistake for the Maxima.
