Jalopnik reports: GM Doing The Churn N’ Burn — Hiring Temps To Replace Union Workers. How wonderfully American of GM. Here we have Detroit doing the flag waving thing and GM goes to the temp workers route. Ha! It's pretty danged funny to us. Funny as in, "That's fucked" sorta funny. Wonder what happens when everyone, everywhere is a temp worker. Wonder how funny it'll be then. Ha!

Yeah......like the unions beat the big 3 in to the ground demanding unreasonable contracts with unbelievable benefits year in and year out...... and now it's catching up to them....the only thing GM can do to reduce costs and survive (and at least continue to pay existing pensioners)is to cut out these hideous costs.
When I started to see signs asking people to "boycott non union companies"....I decided to go the other way......I do the same thing, only I boycott union companies. In this case it means buying a Toyota or Honda......whose employees,by the way, all seem very happy with their jobs and never go on strike or pay union dues.
