Original Is Better
The Car Connection previews the: 2007 Audi TT. Everyone is talking about how great the new Audi TT is. We might be in the minority here, but we like the old one better. The new one is bigger, but more generic-looking. That's no fun. Pictured is: 2007 Audi TT (top) and original Audi TT (bottom). The original Audi TT was a near-perfect shape and even at a quick glance was very recognizable. Hell, both are great cars and we're glad Audi is keeping the TT around so that we have an automotive conquest to keep our eyes on. But we liked the original shape better.

The new one is better in my opinion. To me it looks more agressive. One main reason is the headlights. compare the two and i dont know why anyone would like the pre-2007 over the 2007. I also think it looks better without the rear spoiler.

I agree wholeheartedly. I got to get me a pre-2007!

I also agree. Both the new exterior and interior look blend...very generic! I own the original and think that it lacks power and a more aggressive front end. I was hoping Audi would address those issues with the new car. But it looks like I'll have to go aftermarket.

right on! that is exactly what was going through my mind when i first saw those pics...but if they just facelifted it they would be blamed for not being redesigned like acura did with the nsx...too bad because both were timeless designs...

I agree. The original is a design icon. Love it or hate it, the purity of that design is lost in the new one. The only direction they could go, is as you say, more generic. FWIW I own the original. Great car.
