Saab Makes A Better Truck Than Volvo
The Detroit News reports: 9-7X: How Swede it is. First of all, BFD. Second of all, WTF. Here's a piece of the article:
The XC90 has a slight edge in safety, comfort and quality, and it will certainly accommodate a greater number of family members.Uh, what are the other criteria, then?
The Saab, however, is our choice, for a number of reasons. While one might argue that the 9-7X is little more than a really, really nice Chevy, it beat the Volvo on roominess, cargo space, amenities and engine performance, and matched the XC90 in several other respects. So, when buying a premium Swedish truck, price is the main factor (oh, stop with the amenities crap, you big pansies)? Dubya Tee Eff. These people even wrote, "While one might argue that the 9-7X is little more than a really, really nice Chevy..." So get the fucking Chevy if price is such a factor: the 9-7x is a Chevy! There's more eff than we can fit into WTF.One aspect we can't argue with is price. And here, the 9-7X is a clear winner, with a substantial $7,000 edge over the XC90. If you crave a Swedish brand name on your SUV, with a V-8 engine under the hood, the Saab is simply a better value.
For the record, we're disappointed in both Swedish SUVs because they both have big gas-suckin' V-8s and that's not very Swedish–especially since Sweden plans to go oil free in a few years.

Anyone who has driven both would never ever never pick the 9-7x over the Volvo. Actually I think the volvo with the V8 is one of the best if not the best luxury SUVs on the market and I have recommended it many times to people. OK maybe the Range Rover is better but the Volvo has a better price point.

100+ more HP and ln/ft and a minimal loss on MPG for the V8 in the Volvo hardly seems gas guzzling.
